Foreword:
Dear colleagues and partners,
I would like to cordially invite you to the 5th network meeting of the Bavarian Center for Cancer Research (BZKF) in Munich (TranslaTUM).
Together with representatives from politics, industry and the cooperation partners of the BZKF, we would like to give you an overview of the developments of the BZKF over the past 5 years. Thanks to the constant support of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts, we can look back with pride on eventful years.
Since the BZKF was founded, we have worked intensively to further intensify cooperation in the field of cancer research at the six Bavarian BZKF sites and to promote excellent preclinical and clinical cooperation projects.
The Lighthouse Preclinical Models will present its initial results as a keynote speech. We are also looking forward to presenting the potential uses of the BZKF - Oncology Real-World Data Platform (oRWDP) to the public for the first time.
Our patient representatives will discuss the topic of "Oncological care reality in rural regions" in a panel discussion with experts and discuss the opportunities, challenges and the role of the BZKF.
As part of the Wilko Weichert Young Scientist Academy, the currently funded scholarship holders will present their projects. The 3rd BZKF Publication Prize will also be awarded. In addition, the BZKF Study Group Prize 2025 will be awarded by a patient jury for the best video contribution on the activities of the study groups.
We are very grateful to the Bavarian State Government, which is once again generously supporting us this year and thus enabling the further expansion of the BZKF.
The network meeting offers numerous opportunities for exchange and personal discussions. So take advantage of the networking area in the foyer to engage in direct discussions with the players on various topics.
We look forward to your participation!
