1st BZKF Patient Congress

Dear patients, relatives and interested parties,
I am delighted to invite you to the BZKF Patient Congress "Living with and after cancer - strengthening patient participation from different perspectives" organized by the Bavarian Center for Cancer Research (BZKF). The congress will take place on site in Regensburg as well as online, so that you can participate conveniently.
Supporting patients during and after cancer is particularly important to us. The BZKF is committed to improving quality of life, self-determination and participation in social life - for example through the Cancer Survivor Network and specially trained patient guides who accompany and support those affected.
Our goal is to sustainably improve the care of cancer patients - through good research, high quality treatment and a strong involvement of those affected.
My special thanks go to the Bavarian State Government for its support and to German Cancer Aid, which is sponsoring this congress as part of the "Oncological Patient Congresses" program.
I wish you an exciting event and many stimulating discussions - both on site and online.

The Patient Congress is a public event that can be attended both on site and online (hybrid). The event will be recorded and documented photographically. The video recording and selected photos of the event will then be made available online (in particular on the BZKF website and our official social media channels).
When publishing, we ensure that the speakers are primarily recognizable in the recording and in the photographs. However, it cannot be ruled out that participants may also be visible in the image or the recording (especially for people who connect directly online).
