TrackRAD2025

BZKF Lighthouse Image Guidance in Local Therapies

Real-time target tracking is a great challenge in image guidance and is the focus of one of the working group of the BZKF Lighthouse Image Guidance in Local Therapies. In that working group, advanced MRI lesion tracking algorithms based on AI are being developed. By organizing the TrackRAD2025 Grand Challenge we will benefit from the worldwide expertise of the participants to determine the best approaches to solve this problem, and ultimately improve outcomes for patients treated under MRI guidance.

The challenge can be found at:

TrackRAD2025 has been accepted at the leading Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention conference  which will take place in Daejeon, South Korea in September 2025.

TrackRAD2025 developed from the vision set out at the 2022 ESTRO Physics Workshop in Lisbon and a remarkable data collection effort from six 0.35 T and 1.5 T MR-linac institutions in Australia, China, Germany, and the Netherlands. A cohort of 500 unlabeled and 108 manually labeled patients has been prepared for participants. The TrackRAD2025 challenge will have over 2.5 million unlabeled sagittal cine-MRI frames and over 10,000 labeled sagittal cine-MRI frames.

Important dates:

  • March 15th, 2025: Challenge opens and training data available
  • May 4th, 2025: Introduction of the challenge at ESTRO2025, Vienna, Austria
  • August 15th, 2025: Test phase closes
  • September 23rd-27th, 2025: Presentation of results at MICCAI2025, Daejeon, South Korea
