Publications of the BZKF
Scientific publications are a key component in making progress in cancer research visible. They document new findings, facilitate exchange within the specialist community and help to ensure that innovative approaches reach the healthcare sector more quickly.

In the course of implementing these groups and carrying out the research projects, attention is paid to cross-site and highly networked structures. The research topics and focal points of the BZKF address current issues in cancer medicine and take into account both adult and pediatric tumor diseases. For the implementation of health services research and epidemiological research, the Bavarian Cancer Registry and is therefore one of the most important partner institutions of the Bavarian Center for Cancer Research for cancer research and care. According to the Bavarian Cancer Registry Act (BayKreG. of March 7, 2017), doctors are obliged to report cancer cases to the Bavarian Cancer Registry. This means that all malignant neoplasms and their early forms are recorded throughout Bavaria. By registering cancer cases in a central registry, it is possible to find out more about the causes and development of cancer. The Bavarian Cancer Registry thus contributes to quality assurance in healthcare.
