Eligible applicants are researchers who are primarily employed by a BZKF partner institution. “Primary employment” is defined as a position representing more than 50% of a full-time position. BZKF cooperation partners include the six Bavarian university hospitals in Augsburg, Erlangen, Munich (LMU Hospital and TUM), Regensburg, and Würzburg, as well as their affiliated Comprehensive Cancer Centers and the six universities in Bavaria with medical schools.

All applicants are required to comply with national and international standards for quality assurance in medical research. Furthermore, the project must support the objectives of the BZKF, as outlined in the concept paper under Section II.2.1 (Version 11/2019).

In addition to the general requirements, funding line-specific requirements apply. Therefore, please familiarize yourself well in advance with the applicable specific requirements in the description of the relevant funding line. Applications for all funding programs (with the exception of the BZKF Young Scientist Fellowship) must be submitted via the electronic BZKF application portal, Login | Uni 4.0 FlexAP. The respective calls for proposals will become visible there only once the call opens.

On the application portal, you will find all relevant information for each call for proposals, including application and funding requirements, submission deadlines, and the required documents, templates, and forms.

Through a personal user account, you can submit applications, correspondence, and final reports electronically. You can also track the processing status of applications you have already submitted at any time.

To submit an application, you must first register on the application portal. Please note that you cannot use a personal email address to submit an application. Please use your institutional email address.
