In many of our funding lines, the involvement of patient/patient representatives in the planning of the project is mandatory. You are welcome to contact the office to find out how to contact the BZKF patient expert pool to obtain contact details. To the PEP handout for researchers
Current tenders
Researchers with a predominant employment relationship at one of the BZKF cooperation partners (six Bavarian university hospitals and six Bavarian medical universities) are eligible to apply. The prerequisite for submitting an application is that the project is being carried out jointly at at least two BZKF locations

In the first stage of the procedure, a project outline must be submitted in the BZKF application portal. Submission deadline is Sunday, 11.01.2026, 23:59.

Applications can be submitted in both, German or English.

Preparation of a clinical trial:
1-stage procedure: Applications can be submitted for max. 100T € for 12 months
- Call for proposals mid-March 2026
- Funding period: 01.01.2027 - 31.12.2027
- Submission of the funding application by 28.06.2026 at the latest
- Funding decision November 2026
- Prerequisite for the application is that at least three of the six BZKF sites cooperate in the preparation of the clinical study.
