Tailored nutritional recommendations for cancer patients with taste disorders
During tumor therapy, the sense of taste often changes - food suddenly tastes metallic, bitter or not at all. This not only affects the quality of life, but also the diet.
Gustabor is a digital platform that supports those affected with individually tailored recipes and nutritional tips. With the help of artificial intelligence, personal preferences, symptoms and scientifically based recommendations are combined - so that meals taste good again and make everyday life easier.

Information and conditions of participation
Gustabor is currently only being offered as part of a scientific study that will take place in 2025/26. The study is designed exclusively for cancer patients with taste changes who are undergoing active treatment for cancer at one of the selected university hospitals in Bavaria. In 2025, these are the three locations:
- Würzburg University Hospital

- Regensburg University Hospital
In 2026, the University Hospital Erlangen, the University Hospital Augsburg and the TUM Klinikum Rechts der Isar will also be added.
If you have any questions about participating in the Gustabor study, please contact your treatment team at your university hospital. We will then clarify together whether participation is an option for you. Thank you very much!
